Rage

I feel the burning sensation in my chest,
That searing pain that tugs at my heart strings,
Tugs till they break and shatter,
That creates that tumultuous feeling in my blood,
That roaring rapid of anguish engulfing me,
Drowning, I reach up for something to grasp,
And find but air to tease my fingertips,
Submerged now beneath the bloody water,
The fingers reach out and grasp at me,
Clawing at my tender flesh,
Dragging downward, pulling me into the depths,
the boiling blood searing my flesh,
and I think to myself,
what sort of monster is this
